Disaster Relief

Even in disaster, the love of Christ can shine.

Ready When Disaster Strikes

Although hunger relief has been the primary focus of Heaven Sent Ministries over the years, we also have a long history of disaster relief outreach. Our passion to help others has led us to work with other ministries in times of natural disaster.

However, in 2024, we felt the call to officially form our own disaster relief agency—mere months before Hurricane Helene hit. By God’s grace, we were already positioned to quickly respond to some of the most devastated areas in the aftermath of the storm. In partnership with organizations like God’s Pit Crew and Unchained Ministries, we have since had other opportunities to show the tangible love of Christ and share His Gospel throughout the south-eastern States.

What We Do

In the wake of disaster, things we take for granted everyday—such as food, water, personal hygiene products, and cleaning supplies—become urgent needs. HSM collects essential items through donations and financial contributions so we can stockpile supplies and be ready when these needs arise.

Disaster Relief Buckets

These buckets, which contain non-perishable food, flashlights, hygiene products, a Bible, and other necessities, are another means through which we help. These buckets are pre-packed with the help of volunteers, so we can be ready when disaster strikes.

Distribution is a team effort best accomplished alongside other ministries, churches, and organizations. These partnerships are invaluable in reaching out to affected communities.

What You Can Do

Want to make even more of an impact? You and your team can fill disaster relief buckets with practical help and hope for those who need it. Your funding provides the necessary supplies, and in just one hour you can prepare a full pallet of buckets for distribution. This can be done at our facility or at your location. These events are simple, fun, and impactful. Interested? Call or email our Disaster Relief Director, Josh Perkins, at 304-961-6629 or josh@hsminc.org for more information.
